Commerce City Colorado to Saint Joseph Missouri

We spent Super Bowl Sunday on the road. Truck traffic was unusually light. Most of the car drivers were behaving maturely on the freeways.
Schneider had recently acquired a drop lot just outside of Denver. "England" signs have not yet been removed. I dropped off my empty trailer and easily located my loaded relay trailer. The load originated in Southern California, according to the paperwork.
Not having been provided with a scaling receipt, I decided it would be a good idea to weigh the 40,000 pound load at one of our favorite truck stops in Aurora Colorado. It was comical to see how many drivers had camped out in the driver lounge to watch the big game.

We turned into the Super Bowl via terrestrial radio and then eventually by satellite radio. I figured my roaming data allowance would be well spent on the Super Bowl. The game certainly was a dynamic one. Although the team I was rooting for lost, it was pretty amazing to see how dramatically the Patriots compensated from such a points deficit.   Running my DOT hours down to about 30 minutes, we parked for the night in Salina Kansas. Stephanie made delicious chili for dinner. I was in charge of washing the dishes afterward.

Out customer just finished unloading us, here in St. Joseph Missouri. The weather is nice, although overcast. It's amazing to be wearing short sleeves in February.
