Somebody didn't deliver the paperwork to the guard yesterday afternoon. My trailer was there and loaded, but they couldn't release it to me. Mister Security couldn't release my trailer without the necessary flattened tree material and Ink. So, I spent the next 60 minutes intermittently on the phone with the wonderful folks at Schneider. The operations member removed me from that load assignment. I quickly selected another load. Although I would have to deadhead a significant distance (2 hours), I was then able to spend the night at home.
It worked out well that I came home when I did. My wife and boys were doing volunteer work at a local food pantry. Our wiggly one-year-old son was making their work difficult. I picked up the little guy and took him home, where we ate dinner and had lots of smiles.
