I scaled my load at the nearby truckstop, in Wheat Ridge. Not knowing that there wasn't direct access to the fuel island after scaling, I was forced to park at a tire store across the busy street. Their lack of signage & frustrating infrastructure made me angry - but I cooled down quickly when I thought about my good luck of getting out of town a full day early. I'm a lease-operator, learning & doing something a little different every day. Life on America's highways is amazing.

READY A DAY EARLY - LUCKY ME
If there's no specific prohibition to showing up early, one might as well try. My load originating in Golden, Colorado was ready a full day earlier than scheduled. This was on Saturday.
