This is the big day. Victor called me just a little while ago to tell me that he expects to be here in about 5 hours. He's currently picking up a load somewhere in Illinois.
I got here at 2am this morning. It was nice to park my bobtail tractor close to the Pilot Travel Center building. Schneider has a secure fenced area at the rear of the property. I'll move my tractor over there later today. That's where Victor will transfer his things into my truck & part ways with his.
After I got out of bed this morning, I put a little more labor into organizing & consolidating my belongings inside the truck. If Victor has a lot of stuff, things will be a little awkward until we go home (September 21st).
I'm currently doing laundry. The lower middle dryer door is held closed with duct tape, yet keeps coming open. This has been an aggravating clothes-drying experience. There are only 2 dryers, of the six, that actually work. Here, it costs $2 to wash & $2 to dry. This is about the average at any truckstop. This is why I try to get my laundry done at company operating centers.
