ALMOST HOME

Four days after deciding to split, we are finally within spitting distance of home. My partner is driving & I am still in the sleeper. Things have been civil between us since the confrontation in Rawlins, Wyoming. Upon arrival in Nixa, Missouri, I intend to simply tell my co-driver to have a good life & leave the key under the mat. I won't stick around to allow him to do anything he would regret. A family member will be in the church parking lot, to pick me up.
