Ann Arbor, Michigan
After two weeks of vacation, one for me, we are back in the truck, teaming. We completed my load to the Kansas City area, yesterday. We had to navigate a labyrinth of caves to find our customer's unloading dock. Backing a trailer around jagged pillars can be tricky. Also, there is no cell phone service down there. So, you'd better get your socializing done on the topside before descending.
I picked up our next load from a distribution center on the Kansas side, then meandered northeast through Kansas City again, then on toward Michigan. My co-driver delivered that load to the Detroit area while I slept. So, here we are, rolling along Interstate 94 with an empty trailer, heading to a potato chip factory. It will be my turn to drive soon. Looks like we are lined up for some short loads, today & tomorrow.
