SHORT HOME VISIT

Yesterday afternoon, I arrived in Nixa, Missouri. Nobody was expecting me, since I had so few hours to work with. DOT law limits truckers to 70 hours of driving in an 8-day period. I was 20 minutes from being in violation. The stress was all worth it- once my boys & wife made a "daddy sandwich" out of me.

My co-driver will join me Tuesday morning & we will complete my load to Independence, Missouri. It will be good to resume teaming. My solo driving experience has been good, though.

All four of us are sitting on the back porch, enjoying the sight & smell of the pouring rain. It's been so hot here, in recent days. This is a welcome adjustment in the weather.
