EAST COAST

Shrewsbury, Massachusetts. 2:43am, Tuesday
It's misty & foggy outside, yet warm enough to be comfortable in a t-shirt. My co-driver just needs directions before we roll. I will be strapping myself into the bunk as soon as he has found his designated roads.

My work day started right after a shower, somewhere in North Carolina. I ran hard, keeping my breaks to a minimum. It's always preferable to deliver a load during our scheduled driver swap - and that's how we did it. My effort yielded the desired result. The folks at UPS were glad to get their freight, but some of them seemed to resent the fact that an outside carrier (us) had to be used to pick up their slack.

Portions of I-95, from New York City though portions of Connecticut seemed to be a lot rougher than usual. My co-driver managed to sleep though all of the bumps, amazingly.

I got to spend time on the phone with both of my boys today. Hunter was enjoying not having to go to school. He did a lot of playing outside & going down the street to be with his friends. It's good to know that he is having a healthy childhood. Forest is doing alright, too. He wants me to take him to a certain toy store when I get back home.
