My dad is currently an inpatient at one of the top heart hospitals in the nation. After so many attempts to correct his heart condition, a solution might be in his immediate future. For the past several years he has spent a lifetime at his doctor's office, at the hospital, two Mayo Clinics, and at the Cleveland Clinic. So far, their solutions have proven innefective and frustrating. As time has progressed, his heart episodes have gotten more and more severe. He has absolutely got to get some effective treatment. Without going into detail, the doctors at the Oklahoma Heart Hospital think they have the solution. As soon as my dad's heart stabilizes, they will be able to conduct a minimally invasive procedure to stop the hard and fast heart pounding that my dad has suffered from for such a long time. If that procedure doesn't work, they do have plans to conduct open-heart surgery in the near future. His brother, Galen, is staying with my dad during this difficult time. All of this is happening in Oklahoma City. My aunt's blog describes the events that led up to his admittance at the Oklahoma Heart Hospital. (Churchmouse48.blogspot.com)
As for myself, things are going well. I am still team-driving a big orange truck. My co-driver is as motivated as I am, and our dispatchers are giving us the best freight in the system. We work hard to maintain our position on the Elite team board - the most desired place to be.
I've been a tightwad - by not repairing or replacing my laptop computer yet, so I am finding other solutions to cure my blogging hiatus.. There are good things going on in my personal and family life - much of which, I will write about in the coming weeks and months. My absence has been good for me, now I'm ready to gather my resources and be visible again.
