Unintentional Intruder in Effingham Illinois

After fueling our truck, I remained parked on the fuel island for about 10 minutes, as the truck ahead of me had not yet departed the “pay lane”. The dogs really need to go out for a potty break. They had a pretty decent exercise.
After returning to the truck & getting the dogs inside, Stephanie told me the story of what had just happened. Our neighboring driver had gotten into our truck, thinking it was his! His truck was the same model and color as ours. Stephanie told me that she was on the bed when the man casually entered our truck and unsuccessfully attempted to start it with his key. She assumed the man was me, until she started wondering where the dog were. Stephanie looked up and sat stunned for several seconds, as she was trying to process what was going on. Eventually, she spoke up, asking “hello?”. Our unintentional intruder was equally as stunned when he realized that he was in the wrong truck. He apologized about 12 times as he promptly exited the truck and skedaddled over to his.
