70848 Gets Turn-in Inspection & We Tour New Truck

We got a lot done at the Schneider OC in Phoenix Arizona. Our truck was dirtier on the inside then we thought it was. More laundry accumulated then we thought we had. The puppies were a little ornerier than usual, as their home was being dismantled.
My SFI representative, Mike, really impressed us with how quickly he could reply to our emails. As our inspection appointment drew near, I had a variety of questions about where to put our stuff and where to be. We thought the inspection was to occur at the Schneider OC in Phoenix. Mike quickly corrected me & sent us directions to the dedicated fleet services location, about 2.5 miles away.
Some of our chores created significant delays to our timeline, including checking in at  the Holiday Inn. Electricity went out at the Schneider OC, preventing truck traffic from entering or leaving their gates. The line got long. Mechanics came out to manually open the gates. Leadership members came out to give us permission to simply leave without providing our credentials. Mike gave us permission to leave the remainder of our belongings on the bottom bunk of our truck during the time our inspection was to occur. We arrived at Dedicated Fleet Services just a few minutes before our appointment of 14:00.
We visited with Mike, toured our new truck, and entertained the puppies while mechanics pored over every detail of our tractor. When they were done, they announced that there were only a couple of problems to be noted: a slightly bent fairing and a crack in the fender. The former was ridiculously negligible and the latter wasn’t visible to either myself or Stephanie. We hope they will not charge us too much for these minimal and mysterious things.
SFI is putting us up at the La Quinta, as they are pet friendly. The Uber driver permitted our girls to ride in his car, but he didn’t seem too thrilled about it. Freyja & Astrid were really hyperactive when they got to the room. We’ve had to correct their loud behavior a dozen times so far. They are sleepy now.
