The following morning, we drove about 30 miles to deliver our load of charcoal to a massive warehouse in Tracy California. The driver next to us had a dog, so we talked about our recent double adoption of puppies. We will pick them up in about a week or 10 days.
Our next load picked up from Fairfield California, about 71 miles away. Our freight weighs a lot, but is legal. Driver at a nearby truckstop parked on the scale, instead of moving elsewhere to go inside to pay for the yellow sheet of paper. It took a long time to get our business done because of him. With several future loads lined up, we are taking the stance of moving as far as possible each day. That evening, we got to a dumpy truckstop in Battle Mountain Nevada to spend the night.
Yesterday, we drove 612 to a ubiquitous truckstop in Rawlins Wyoming. We are taking 34 hours off here. It was a moment of relief when we noticed that our cell phones are connecting to our carriers towers here. Our roaming data allowance has been under constant assault since we have been in the West.
