Among the plans we had for our 34 hour break was to get our tractor greased, have the alignment checked, & to get the tires rotated. Here at the TA, the alignment equipment is broken, so part of the work order would have to wait until another time. The mechanic didn't appear to have a lazy streak, so I believed him when he suggested that I not rotate the tires just yet. In the shop, he showed me my tires and his analysis of the wear patterns. It was his strong opinion that rotating the tires at this point would just ruin a couple of tires unnecessarily. He recommended taking the truck to a place where their alignment equipment was functioning properly, and get things evaluated there. I was impressed that they didn't try to do jobs on the truck that wouldn't be beneficial. We greatly appreciate honesty.
