Thursday's meet up with Stephanie's Dad

As I mentioned in a previous blog post, we met up with Stephanie's dad. We were delivering a load to Home Depot in West Columbia, SC. Mike drove 90 minutes from Charleston to meet us. He visibly enjoys how much he is getting to see his daughter lately. He and I get a long well. And I enjoy the opportunities to get to know him better.

We had him meet us at a nearby restaurant that specializes in ribs and wings. He and I opted for the shrimp basket. Stephanie enjoyed the wing basket.

He took me up on my idea to have him ride with us to our customer. We dropped off our load and picked up an empty trailer. We thought it would be fun to have him put on a safety vest and watch as I did my normal routine.

We drove him back to his car, which was still at the restaurant, and said our goodbyes. This visit was brief, but some time together is better than none.
