Columbia City Oregon took a little longer to get to than I was expecting. There are so many stop lights along highway 30! We still got there a significant amount of time before our customer opened for business. I was naturally the first one to get loaded. They had me drive around to the back of the facility & back my trailer a long distance to a portable ramp. The forklift operator was friendly & had all 17 pallets of wood pellets loaded into my trailer without much delay. The fright weighed 40,000 pounds. I was glad that the state of Oregon set a free scale for us to use two miles up the road. My axle weight were happily legal.
We crossed into Washington state. Stephanie got to cross off another political boundary from her bucket list. The weather was a typical mix of rain & breif sunshine.
The customer to which we were delivering decided that they didn't want their load until Thursday morning. This is fine since we were planning to take 34 hours off afterward anyway. I hope that once we do get there, they will get it unloaded quickly. We have a tight appointment schedule with our next customer.
I drove to the Schneider drop yard in Sumner Washington. It was the most secure & logical place to leave the truck and trailer while we embarked on some adventuring around Seattle.
