I showed up without any cash and was really regretting it. Although I try not to rely upon emotion to guide my decisions, I followed my loud instincts to get this load legal before I left the property, even if it meant asking someone for a loan. Although it was horribly humiliating, I asked a fellow Schneider driver for help to pay for the scale. He agreed. I wrote down his address & guaranteed him that I would repay him through the mail as soon as I could. He probably considered repayment very unlikely. But surprise, I mailed him the promised letter from Muskogee Oklahoma today. Hopefully his arrival home will be extra bright when he collects his stack of mail. Truthful, honest people really do exist.
