VIRGINIA IS NOT FOR SISSIES
Interstate 81, in Virginia, is not a cake walk for the average driver. There are lots and lots of law enforcement agents eager to observe any infraction, so they can extract money from you. The constant steep hills strain the engine on the way up and wear the brakes on the way down. Entrance ramps are always hazards. Crash avoidance requires so much awareness and cooperation around here. At night, truck parking is hard to find. One has to trip plan carefully to avoid violating the hours-of-service laws.
