QUARTERLY INSPECTION

It's a shame I couldn't have slept at home. Yesterday's travels took me to Oklahoma City then back eastbound on I-44. At 1 o'clock in the morning, the TA was ridiculously full of trucks; it's cruel to have to search for parking when you're so sleepy.  I luckily spotted a rig pulling out of a parking space, so I made a beeline toward it and carefully maneuvered my trailer into the vacant hole. I had to get out several times to check my backing depth, as my skills were diminished from fatigue. 

   This morning I went to the shop to get 2 chores done. I had a flat tractor tire fixed; and I got my mandatory quarterly DOT inspection performed. Schneider paid for the latter one. And my bill seems to indicate that my tire was under warranty. Today is starting pretty nicely.

    My rig is ready to hit the highway again. I'm going to Chicago; my next load brings me back to the Ozarks. I love being able to find loads that allow me to see my family more frequently than I used to.
