WEEK-OLD FUEL FILTER CLOGGED
Business must boom for fuel filter manufacturers in the wintertime. This time of year is often very challenging for big trucks. I took my truck to a shop in Prescott Arkansas a couple of evenings ago to get a new fuel filter. My fuel filter is fitted inside a large glass dome. The fuel level shouldn't rise to more than halfway to the top; mine had fuel rising ALL THE WAY up, bypassing the filtering function of the intricate porous paper. Extreme cold temperatures, mixed with nasty diesel rendered my filter useless after less than a week on the job. The TA mechanics fixed me right up. My newest filter is doing just fine so far.
