WARMER, BUT SNOWY IN NIXA

This was another action-packed day. I left Janesville Wisconsin yesterday evening to pick up a load in Clinton Iowa. It was extremely cold. Temperatures dipped to -13° while I picked up my loaded trailer. Thankfully, there was virtually no wind. I meandered through Illinois and Missouri during the quiet overnight hours. Snow started to fall as I got closer to Springfield Missouri, via Jefferson City and Lebanon. It's a good thing I wasn't driving through Rolla later in the morning; there was a horrific pileup near there, due to winter conditions.
My parents met me at Freightliner, where I dropped off my tractor for service. They took me on down to Nixa. My four-month-old son, Wyatt was getting fed when I walked into the house. He heard my voice and instantly perked up with excitement. The older two boys & my wife also greeted me enthusiastically. Regina had to work today, as she does virtually every Saturday. We all piled into our white Mazda 5 and swung through the McDonald's drive-through before taking her to work. I had to drive slow and easy on the wintry roads. Although it was getting really snowy, temperatures weren't nearly as brutal as they had been to me in the northern parts of the country.
It's good to be home. Here's a picture of my mom with a stress toy I  gave her.
