BIRTH DELAYED
Life sure is full of surprises. We went to the hospital this morning. Regina was assigned to delivery room #9. She was gowned & hooked up to IVs, including the inducing fluid. All of a sudden, the baby's vitals disappeared from the monitors. Three nurses used all available means to interpret his new position. Within mere minutes, the little wart moved his head all the way up to Regina's ribs. This was a bad thing. Regina's doctor was summoned. To continue with the birth, the baby would have to be taken out via cesarean section. None of us thought that would be the best choice. So, we were discharged from the hospital. She will go back to her doctors office on Tuesday to see if Wyatt is head-down & ready for another attempt to be born. We are having to acknowledge that his birth might be much more complicated & expensive than originally anticipated. Her mom and my mom entered the delivery room just moments after we learned the nature of the situation. We were all naturally disappointed.
