HITCHING A RIDE HOME

Joplin, MissouriMy dad picked me up from a truckstop in Joplin today. It was part of my scheme to go home while being under a load. He was already on his way to Springfield from his other home in Shawnee, Oklahoma. We had a good couple of hours together, in which we enjoyed a meal at Cracker Barrel.
I hope my truck will be alright while I am away from it. The fuel costs for a 180-mile out-of-route excursion home would have been unacceptable. My dad's coinciding plans allowed me to shedule this enviable load.
My loaded trailer was waiting for me at an unlikely place on the left in this Joplin neighborhood.
Intact seals are a big deal, no matter how cheap the load seems to be.
My plan is to have this load delivered to southern Oklahoma Sunday evening.
Regina has booked a nice hotel room for tomorrow night, in Joplin. As soon as she locks the doors to her office, we are going to zip down I-44 to the Holiday Inn, just off exit 8. Our 2 boys are very excited. Late Sunday morning, after we check out, I'll get the rig rolling to the promised destination.
Being home weekly is my goal.
