34 in FONTANA

I had to do a careful trip plan for this load. Both of our hours were dangerously low. The risk was worth it. We completed delivery on a 1400 mile run from Dallas. We delivered refrigeration units to a warehouse in Ontario. By the time Mr. H parked the truck at the Fontana OC, we both had less than half an hour remaining on our 70 hour clock. Nailbiter!

Our tractor is slightly overdue for routine preventative maintenance (pm). The trailer we brought in was also due for its annual visit to the shop. Both pieces of equipment will be attended to tomorrow. My 70 hour clock will be reset around noon. Hopefully they won't  keep us much longer than that. We are out here to keep those wheels rolling, which means money in our bank accounts every Friday.

At the moment, I am waiting for my laundry to dry. We always try our best to get our clothes washed at an OC (Operating center). All laundry equipment is available to drivers free of charge.

It's my turn to go to the motel during this reset. My DBL is currently contacting the travel office to make arrangements. It is so nice when they can book & pay for my room, instead of having to pay & get reimbursed on my own.
