Company computers have had a wretched day today - not to mention all of us who are dependent upon them. From mid-morning until late afternoon, we have received apologetic messages about how the dispatching & communication systems have been non-functional. At the present moment, we have been 12 hours without an assignment. We have called in a couple of times to check on the status, and to make sure our names were on the list for upcoming load assignments. So now, all we can do is wait & monitor the computer screen every half hour in hopes of receiving good news. Mr. H has gone to bed. We are maintaining our normal schedule. I suspect that I won't be driving a single inch today. 2am will arrive; Mr. H will assume "command" again; and there will probably be no assignment yet.
