Sometimes my co-driver comes up with fairly decent ideas. He suggested that we do our "34"-hour restart in Dallas after we delivered our hot JC Penney load from California. Our DBL (boss) concurred that the idea was a good one, even though we still have over 15 hours on our 70-hour clock. Taking a break now will make the most efficient use of our time & allow us to get home on Friday without any concern over running out of hours to run.
As usual, Mr. H voiced his preference to stay in the truck, at the OC, while I get the motel. Perfectly fine by me. The Comfort Inn is a fine place to pass the time.
