ATTEMPTED GOOD DEED

Oklahoma / Kansas state line ~12:40pm

We stopped at a small travel plaza for a short break. I needed to freshen up & get coffee as a part of my "morning" tradition. Mr. H would be driving until 2pm, as usual.

While in line to pay for my yogurt & coffee, I overheard a lady lamenting that she had locked her purse & keys in her pickup at the fuel island. A man was kind enough to buy a SlimJim (unlocking tool) for her, but he didn't know how to use it. Seeing Mr. H exit the restroom, I called over to him to ask if he was skilled in the art of unlocking cars. He said he was. So I introduced him to the slender forty-something lady who was having the difficulty. He went out to her pickup and worked that tool and worked and worked...and worked. Seeing his inability, I asked other drivers if they could help. I even asked a pair of police officers if they knew what to do. No luck. After about 30 minutes of trying, we had to admit defeat. She called a tow truck & we went on our way.
