As if trucking wasn't already difficult sometimes, some of the 800 new laws in California are already causing headaches in the freight hauling community.
Aerodynamic skirts are required on all trailers entering the state of California. That's where our load is going. We were informed of this new law by our shipper, who refused to load us until we came back with a California-compliant (skirted) trailer.
We went back to the intermodal yard,in Sumner, to swap out empty trailers. The only empty trailer with a skirt we found was this one - kind of beat up.
