The freight has brought us directly to the East Coast. I checked the temperature occasionally, yesterday, as we crossed into Ohio & points eastward. It was generally 14 degrees & under. The truck's heater works well, so I didn't suffer in the least.
Segments of my route to southern New Jersey were steep, snowy & quiet. Highways 40 & I-68 are barely suitable for big trucks. I might consider staying on I-70 the next time I go that way. Finding a place to park the truck for a break can be a tall order in much of Maryland. My partner was surprised by how few stops I made yesterday.
I delivered our load of toilet paper to the Kimberly-Clark warehouse in Swedesboro, New Jersey. The timing was good, since my co-driver was awake & ready to start work. He took over from there.
We are currently headed to South Carolina with a load of Nissan parts. After that, we will be bouncing back up I-95, to Baltimore, Maryland, then to Somerset, New Jersey.
