We left home yesterday afternoon. My truck was clean & shiny. Now, it is getting caked with road salt. I made sure to give ourselves plenty of time to reach our customers before the promised appointment times. Rumors of difficult travel abounded yesterday evening. Missouri roadways were mostly dry & travel was easy. Recently-completed construction on various major highways made travel even faster. After I woke up this morning, my partner told me about a 10 mile stretch in Indiana that was bumpy & snow-packed. The rest of his drive was relatively smooth. We just got back on the road after a 20 minute pitstop in Dallas Pike, West Virginia. Our destination of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania lies only 23 miles ahead.
