On Thursday, we were in Buffalo, New York - relaying our trailer to a Canadian driver. Just a few minutes before we departed to pick up our next load, my friend, Edward Scretchen, happened by. He backed in next to our truck. Both of us were amazed to see each other. We visited for about ten minutes before we had to resume our workday. It was an amazing coincidence!
Yesterday, Friday, we were at the Dallas yard, waiting for a trailer to arrive from Laredo. We were recipients of a relay this time. I went inside to have a meal. As I was deciding what to order for dinner, I looked across by the cash register, and noticed another good friend - Alex Rolli! I called his name a couple of times. He was stunned to see me! The cashier had to redirect his attention to pay for his meal. He & I obviously shared a table as we ate our meals. Conversation was lively & enjoyable.
It's moments like these that add a significant amount of enjoyment to life on the road.
