Ideal Day

Saturday night/Sunday morning 1:40am in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

I took over driving in Gallup, New Mexico & drove 660 miles to Oklahoma City. These are the kind of loads that earn a good paycheck. Very little slowed me down on the interstate today. There was a little fog near Amarillo, Texas, but that didn't last long.

My boys spent the day with their grandma while Regina worked. I spent a few minutes on the phone with them today. They seemed to be content, but not jazzed up - which is perfectly fine. Mom sent me a picture of Forest posing with a picture he had painted. The little guy had his silly extreme pose face on. Comical.

Victor continues to impress me, as a co-driver. He demonstrated his take-charge attitude in Flagstaff, today. There was gridlock at the truckstop & nobody knew why, until Victor got out to assess the situation on foot. After discovering that two dumbasses parked at the entry/exit, he notified the truckstop managers, so they could deal with the situation. He was the only one who took action & handled it appropriately.
