it's just after 3am, and I have finally handed over the keys to my partner. There are several small towns that dot US 287 from Fort Worth to Amarillo. Parking lots of any sort are packed with big trucks, whose drivers are shut down for their legally-required 10 hour break. It amused me to see how ridiculously packed the Walmart Supercenter lot was, with commercial rigs. I hope they appreciate the managers leniency. In most cities, there are posted city ordinances prohibiting trucks from parking there. Just a few incidents of litter or discourtesy could invite several days of code enforcement.
Well, I'm in the bunk now. I ate a slice of pizza while I dictated this blog entry. Now, it's time to buckle in and extinguish the lights.
