We didn't do anything quite so adventurous, as the name of this post implies. I was just having a little goofy fun with the title.
Grandpa Bailey had an appointment with his eye doctor this afternoon. Since I like him so much, I decided to be his chauffeur today. I enjoy being with him, and I enjoyed relaxing in the waiting room. He was grateful that he didn't have to spend an extra two hours at the hospital waiting for his eyes to recover from the dilation. He is going to be 86 years old in July, and he will have to renew his driver's license. His doctor told him that he will be just fine, even with the eye that's been giving him trouble. A blood vessel in his left eye burst a few weeks ago, adversely affecting his eyesight & looking awful. His optometrist had never seen anything so severe. Anyway, Grandpa's eye is looking a lot better now.
On the way back home, I noticed that his right turn signal had quit working. Since we had a little extra time, we stopped by his favorite auto repair shop, Eaglecrest automotive. They got his car right in, and a mechanic promptly searched for the cause of the turn signal failure. It turned out that the problem was more than a simple blown bulb. They had to keep the car overnight. Regina came to pick us up.
