BACK IN FAMILIAR BEDS

My dad is out of the hospital & in his own bed, in Shawnee tonight.

We are back in Nixa, Missouri. My boys traveled well, once again.

It was the middle of the noon hour when my dad's doctor finally visited his room. They discussed what problems my dad was still struggling with, and the wisdom of being released from the hospital today. My dad was anxious to get out; his remarkable compliance to his recovery protocols convinced his doctor that he would be okay to be released into the big world outside.
I helped my mom load Dad's things into the car. We didn't stick around for lunch. It was time for us to get going, since I have to be back at work tomorrow.

I'm glad that we got to spend time with my dad when he needed us most.
