Life has been full lately. I will fill you in with what I can appropriately divulge in due time. My eyes are slightly blood-shot after 2 days of nonstop action.
This morning I got up earlier than usual to transfer all of my belongings from our 2011 Freightliner Cascadia to our brand-new 2012 model. Getting it all across takes time and energy! It's amazing what all can accumulate in a period of 21 months. Both of us threw away a significant amount of junk.
Our new truck looks a lot like the previous one, but there are several new features to appreciate, and to be skeptical of. The ride is smoother and quieter; the dashboard is arranged better; there is no longer a vertical smoke stack - the clean exhaust escapes parallel to the drive line, behind the sleeper; and, we have to top off DEF fluid tanks now - DEF is synthetic urea, which is sprayed into filtered exhaust to reduce "nox" gasses.
I like this new truck.
