LAYOVER IN ST. LOUIS

As an Elite team, we are getting paid for this. Hooray! We came up from Cape Girardeau earlier today to drop off an empty at our next shipper. The appointment to depart with our load is at three in the morning. My co-driver eventually went to bed, while I had to find a good way to occupy myself until he begins work. So, since I'm getting paid anyway, I decided the most comfortable and courteous place to be was in a $36 room at Motel 6. It has been totally worth it. I walked down to Steak 'n Shake earlier this evening to enjoy a plate of 3-Way chili and a Coke. Getting there was a little dangerous, since there are virtually no sidewalks in this part of town.
I got back on my postcard-writing game this evening, addressing about 10 postcards to various friends and family. My son lets me know when I'm slacking off. LOL.
