My co-driver is at the controls right now. I am logged into the sleeper berth. He has a fresh 70 hours to run now. My hours will be refreshed by the time I get out of bed in the morning. A full supply of time to run on won't matter, though. We expect to be starting our 3-day vacation before the calendar clicks over to Wednesday.
We spent Monday at a clean, but inexpensive motel - at the busiest Interstate exit in Lima, Ohio. I ate at Cracker Barrel, at noon, then at Taco Bell, later in the evening. In my room, Solitaire and the Republican debate entertained me thoroughly.
It is actually a good thing to have a day of total relaxation in a different city, before I go home. My renewed energy can be spent on my kids. It has been 3 weeks since I have held them.
