Is It Done Yet? Is It Done Yet?

Our primary purpose for being in Carlisle was to get an oil change along with our regularly scheduled maintenance. The mechanics moved our truck into the shop while we were out getting our random drug test. Since there weren't any major repair items, we figured that it wouldn't take very long. My co-driver didn't get a motel, because he thought he would be back in the truck in a timely manner. As evening approached, I checked our truck periodically. My mechanic was happy to keep me abreast of his progress. He did a good job, but just wasn't very fast at it. While the truck was in the shop, we were assigned a tightly scheduled load, snow was moving in, and my co-driver hadn't been to bed yet. I had to motivate our mechanic to get it done faster; he would just have to skip some of the less important items.
My partner retired to the bunk just minutes after the mechanics released our truck. I made no delay getting on the road, and I found snow quickly thereafter. My shippers factory was located way out in the hills and woods. My snow and mountain driving mindset was fully engaged. Eastern Pennsylvania was getting a full blanket of white tonight. It still amuses me to think that just a day before this, we were in Florida.
I drove until about 1:30 AM, allowing my co-driver a little extra time to sleep. I ended my work day at a small truck stop in New York.
This morning, I woke up on US 20 in Ohio. Snow covers the fields, but the road is dry and salty. We expect to be in Green Bay, Wisconsin later this evening.
