Family In Fontana

My cousin, John Jr., his wife Caryn, and their two kids, Hannah and Seth, met me for lunch a little while ago. We had a really enjoyable visit. It has been a few years since we have seen each other in person.

We had an exciting, but not too eventful, trip to Fontana from Chicago. I was sure I was going to have to chain up over the Colorado mountains, but our timing was exceptional. Not having to deal with the chains probably saved me a full hour.

Prior to Chicago, we had a load from Laredo to Dallas. From Dallas, we went to Minneapolis. From Minneapolis, we delivered to Chicago. The weather has been acceptable, and our customers have been easy to work with.

While I was walking in the parking lot of the Fontana Truck Stop, a Buick approached me. The driver asked me if I could help him.  He needed to move his truck from where it was illegally parked to somewhere else. I drove his car behind his bobtail truck all the way to a hospital in Rialto. His wife was giving birth to their second child. After I parked his car, he drove me back to Fontana. He calls himself "T-Dawg", and his personality and style completely matched his name.
