Sunshine quickly turned to snow, rain and fog. Even with these hinderances, I drove about 650 miles today, starting in Seligman, Arizona and handing over captainship in Vega, Texas. We are still hauling the load of sugar I picked up from the Bay Area of California.
I had a good after-school talk with Hunter. He told me 4 things about his day. Nothing too exciting happened. His First grade class is learning about money. He told me the various ways one can make 50 cents from pocket change (2 quarters, or 5 dimes, etc).
My cousin, "D", and I shared a short but pleasant conversation this evening. It had been a long time since we had talked. He is not yet a Facebook member, poor guy. Haha. My cell signal dictated how long we were able to talk. Eastern New Mexico has sparse cell towers. Anyway, D is a Riverside (California) County Sheriff's deputy, and he was on patrol tonight. Occasionally, I pass through the area he patrols. He invited me to call him up for a get-together next time I'm in the area. That would be a lot of fun. His wife, C, is a fellow blogger. I will let her advertise her site in my comments section, if she so chooses. She has added and edited things on my blog on several occasions. Many thanks to her for those favors.
