After pushing ourselves to the limit, it became time to shut the truck down for a day. My co-driver is resting at the Econolodge. I am enjoying a room at the Holiday Inn Express, since the other establishment didn't have enough rooms for the two of us. We do not share rooms. Since it's my turn to get reimbursed, I get to stay in the pricier lodging. My supervisors will have a cow when they find out how much this room was. Ha ha.
There are a few remaining piles of snow around here. Many trees have broken branches. Utility and tree removal crews are in high demand. The recent snow storm was one of the costliest in New England history.
You have probably heard that Oklahoma had a significant earthquake last night. It could be felt as far North as Wisconsin, from what I've read. I first heard about it through my cousin, Jason, on Facebook. The ground must have still been shaking as he updated his status. It amuses me that Oklahoma now has another form of natural disaster for its residents to be prepared for. How often have we heard Midwesterners say they would prefer to deal with tornadoes than earthquakes? And, the other way around for West Coasters. Amusing.
