It rained all day in Northern Illinois. The sun didn't peek through the clouds even once. But that was alright since I don't need sunshine to be happy.
We had two loads lined up after I delivered the load of popcorn to Manteno. The first one took us back to Massachusetts, and the next had us delivering in North Carolina. However, those plans abruptly changed. Our customer in Chicago decided they didn't need us, after all. Our freight-finding team didn't let us sit still. They found a decent load for us to haul to the Sooner State (Oklahoma).
My kids didn't have school today. Neither did any other student enrolled in the Nixa public schools. So, Regina was in charge of her cousins 3 kids for the entire day. She took them to the mall, since the house got rather small with so many kids running around. Hunter and Colton wanted to ride in the rental stroller that was designed like a fire engine. Regina told them that 7 year olds were too big to ride in them. And to support her case, Hunter read it for himself "Engine No. 7" (to Hunter it read "No 7 year olds").
I'm a lease-operator, learning & doing something a little different every day. Life on America's highways is amazing.
