Our four-month-old granddaughter, Layla, joined us for vacation as we departed Findlay Ohio. Her great grandparents live in South Carolina. Aside from us taking her down there, it would be unlikely for them to see Sierra‘s daughter in their lifetime. Our daughter, Sierra, has made a variety of choices that have caused her extra challenges in life. Her fiancé, Jacob, is struggling to bring in enough income for their family. We were glad that they were agreeable to letting us take their daughter for a full week.
The Wheelers enjoyed their time with Layla. They let us stay in their home for two nights, there in the Charleston South Carolina area. We weren’t excessively bothered by the irony that they are Stephanie‘s former in-laws. We even slept in her ex-husband‘s old room!
