Vacation: Going to the Beach

This was the highlight of vacation for the kids. Or, so I think.         On Thursday, we went to a beach on the lake. We swam and had a good time. 

  On Friday, we went to an actual Ocean Beach. It was the one we went to last year. Isle of Palms is a fantastic reach to go to, even if we have to pay for parking. It is about 45 minutes from the Wheeler‘s house. We went there accepting the risk of not being able to swim, as there were thunderstorms in the area. Not too many people were there on that rainy day. 

  It was fun to take our puppies to the beach. They had mixed feelings about the waves. 

  Layla enjoyed her time in the sand and surf. We got a few photo opportunities.

  All of the boys had a fantastic time catching waves and doing all of the expected things one would want to do on a beach.

  We had to leave sooner than desired, as bolts of lightning were quickly approaching. Everyone showered and brought much less sand than expected into the car. It was a successful day.
