Picking up the kids is sometimes a noteworthy event. Saturday morning, my ex wife’s sister tried to clandestinely watch us pick up the children. It was comical to see her jerk back into the doorway when I looked up and waved at her. As usual, the kids greeted us with colorful excitement.
The kids are always good sports about the things we have to do while we are in town. Going to the jewelry store in the shopping mall was one of the things on our to do list. Little diamonds repeatedly fall out of Stephanie‘s ring shortly after she takes it in to be cleaned. After yet another event of this, the store offered to buy the ring back and offer $150 additional credit toward a new purchase. So, that is what we did: we got a bigger and better wedding ring set.
Since our unloading appointment begins early in the morning, we decided to leave Springfield Missouri this afternoon and park at our customer in Shawnee Oklahoma. One of the workers told me to back into the middle unloading dock, and spend the night here. He says that this place gets very busy during the day. So, I guess this is a first come, first serve - kind of a place We need as much of a headstart as possible. Our Monday plans are ambitious.
One more thing – my little brother, Mark, got to spend a significant amount of time with us. Here he is, in the picture below.
