Running Recap

Since we did not take a complete 34 hour break in Missouri, we are having to limit ourselves to a strict time allowance. This time allowance is the amount of time we worked eight days ago, plus whatever time we had remaining today. And it runs continuously like that until we choose to take a complete 34 hour break, according to the law. This is called “running recap“. It’s a convoluted concept to wrap your mind around, so don’t think anything less of yourself if you don’t understand it. Some of my fellow drivers choose to run on recap continuously, as they are able to live a more fulfilling life working 8.75 hours per day, on average.
