The Missouri state line was nearby. We stopped at a Loves travel plaza to scale the load. There were lots of police and other people lining the freeway entrance to pay their respects to a fallen officer whose body was being transported in a procession that was to occur within a few minutes.
After I adjusted our trailer axles to make the weight distribution legal, we ate lunch. Then, we embarked on the three hour trip toward home.
