Full Day That Went Slower Than Planned

It took less than an hour to drive to our customer in Lewiston Maine from our sleep spot in Biddeford. The customer hesitated to accept our load, as the paperwork was not very legible.
We picked up our next load from a small community in rural Maine. There were lots of slow speed limits & intersections that made transit take a long time.
Transit through the various New England states took longer than I had planned. Traffic & rain were especially heavy. More drivers than usual were driving very offensively. I had to honk my horn about 9 times today.
Astrid seemed to do better, then she got worse. We stopped every hour in response to her cries for potty needs. I guess the pumpkin wasn’t so helpful, but we are continuing the frequent spoonfuls anyway. I think we are going to need to see a veterinarian soon.
We parked for the night in Clinton, New Jersey. Our meal receipt says we are in the town of Hampton, so I’m not sure what to think. There weren’t any available spaces when we got here, so we waited 30 minutes for a driver to leave. Another driver appeared to be vying for the spot, so I had to hustle to get it.
