Empty Trailer Troubles

We left home this morning with a reasonable amount of time to pick up an empty trailer from a customer's yard 78 miles from Nixa & then to arrive at our shipper's dock comfortably before our noon appointment. There were no empty trailers in Cabool Missouri. To our shock, the box planners sent us all the way back from where we came. We did find an empty trailer in Springfield Missouri, but two other trailers were parked in front of it. It was an ordeal to get a yard driver to make access to our orange box. It took almost 3 hours to drive to our shipper in Ash Flat Arkansas. We were a few hours late, but we had provided sufficient communication to keep them from becoming too upset. We ran hard afterward & are now parked for the night in Princeton Kentucky!
