We took a 34-hour restart while we were under this load. Sparks Nevada was a great place to be during our time off.
Although we don't waste our money on gambling, we had a blast in the Grand Sierra Resort. It was the largest & most impressive building we had ever been in. There, we went window shopping in the mall; we bowled 3 games; we had pizza; then we watched Tarzan in the movie theater.
For transportation, we walked a lot; we took the city bus twice; and we took Uber twice. We often wish the big truck could accommodate two bicycles, because we would certainly use them on our days off.
Money is a little tighter than usual, so we've become good at cooking inside the truck, rather than eating frequently in restaurants. For lunch yesterday, we heated up our leftovers. Are usually eat breakfast cereal for breakfast and I am becoming spoiled to Stephanie's from-scratch cooking for dinners.
This trip wasn't without stress. We were significantly overweight on the drive axles. Going back to the shipper was not a practical option. I did everything I could to shift the weight. Passing by or going through DOT weigh stations was a stressful event for me. Everything turned out fine, however.
We've been getting quite a few things done while our customer has been unloading us. It's only been one hour. During this time, I have moved the tire chains back to the rear of the cab; Stephanie has done a lot of organizing; I have written down our next two assignments; I've written a $134 check to the lumpers; and I have jammed out a quick blog update.
